This hypothetical company was inspired by the style and messaging of real kombucha brands. The strategy for this project was to create a minimalistic yet stylish brand that speaks to a simple, healthy lifestyle and can easily be incorporated into the lives of everyday people. Celestial Brew offers other products that range from stylish to more practical, making it a versatile brand that easily fits into the everyday persons life.
Cedar Springs Brewing Company specializes in German-Bavarian (as well as American) cuisine and award-winning beer. The brewery is so-named for its location in Cedar Springs, a town just 25 minutes outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The "CS" in the logo and the signature red flannel pattern used throughout the campaign pays homage to the towns strong logging heritage. The goal was to create a line of cohesive yet differentiated products that speaks to the restaurant and retail experience.
While it lacks prominent marketing in mainstream media, Swiss Miss is part of the everyday experience for American families. The strategy was to position Swiss Miss as a premium, high-end hot chocolate company while maintaining their family-friendly marketing through a captivating, classic illustration style. The color of the mugs in each print ad are intentionally color-coordinated with the mugs on the packaging to make the product larger-than-life.
Southwest Airlines provides simple, affordable, and effortless travel for business-minded flyers by focusing more on the overall experience as opposed to the amenities. Southwest has maintained a consistent customer base and brand image over the years. The strategy for this project was to give them a youthful, modern update to reach a younger audience, while still staying true to their brand image, core values, and demographic.
“A Promised Land” is a memoir by Barack Obama that chronicles his two terms in office. The strategy was to capture the historical nature of his time in the White House by taking inspiration from vintage newspaper clippings. The cover also features Rosa Parks to demonstrate the parallels of their achievements pertaining to their political accomplishments. For added effect, Obama is sitting on the same bus in the exact same spot that Rosa Parks did during her famous sit-in.

My strategy was simple design that could be easily adapted to different mediums such as business cards and social media!
